Samuel Thomas

Samuel Thomas is an iGaming writer who writes and maintains the pages of the official VegasNow Australia site. His focus is the part of a casino most people skip: the rules underneath the headline. That means the wagering on each welcome stage, how game contributions change the effort a bonus needs, the minimums on each withdrawal lane and the clauses in the terms that decide whether a cash-out goes smoothly.

His working rule is that a figure only goes on a page if it can be traced to a published source: our general terms, our bonus terms, the Australian payment and withdrawal tables, the loyalty and promotions pages, or the game studio's own specification. Where something is not published, he says so, rather than filling the gap with an estimate.

Every page starts with the published wording rather than with a summary of it. For a bonus page that means the welcome offer terms and the general bonus terms dated 26 February 2024; for a banking page, the Australian deposit and withdrawal tables; for account rules, the general terms, version 2.3, dated 20 January 2024. Game pages start from the studio's own product page, so an RTP or maximum win is only quoted when Pragmatic Play, BGaming, Novomatic or Evolution publishes it.

From there the work is mostly arithmetic and cross-checking. Each worked example is recalculated from the source figures, so a A$200 first deposit is shown as a A$300 bonus and A$12,000 of wagering, not rounded or estimated. Figures that appear on several pages, such as the A$300 floor on bank withdrawals or the A$8 bet cap, are compared across the site so that every page says the same thing. Where a source is silent, the page says the detail is shown on the offer or in your account, and leaves it there.

Pages are rechecked whenever a source they rely on changes, and the pages most likely to move are looked at most often. The weekly promotions and payments pages fall into that group, because a promotion's mechanics or a method's range can change without the rest of the site being affected. Reference pages such as licensing change rarely, since the licence number and holder stay the same unless the record itself changes.

The Updated date in each byline marks the last substantive change to that page: a figure, a rule or a worked example. Small fixes to wording do not move it, so the date stays a useful signal of when the facts were last revised.

To report an error directly, email support@vegasnow.com with the page address, the figure you think is wrong and what you see in your account or at the cashier. A screenshot helps. Samuel checks the report against the current source and, if the page is out of step, corrects it and moves the update date.
