Contract
All bookings are made with Map A Mystery (ABN 68674318370) operating under domain name MapAMystery.com and referred to throughout these terms and conditions as “Map A Mystery”, “our”, “us”, “we”. We are the Perth based online tours and events (referred to here as “tours”) provider. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully.
You should fully understand and agree with these before proceeding with any tour booking with Map A Mystery.
The terms and conditions of service stated below apply to all bookings, whether they are made through our website, through a third-party booking site or Visitors Centre, or via any other process. If you do choose to proceed with a booking it will be assumed that you have agreed with these terms and conditions.
Our Prices
All tour prices are quoted in the currency of the country where the booking occurs. All prices are per person and are correct up to 31 December 2024 and are inclusive of GST for Australia, or the relevant taxation of the country where booking occurs in instances where the tour is booked in a location other than Australia.
For the value of Gift Vouchers refer to the section below called Gift Vouchers.
Cancellation and Change of Tour Policy
Bookings cannot be changed online, these must be made directly to us via email. tours@mapamystery.com
Free of charge tour booking changes bookings can be made as follows:
Name Change
If you cannot attend, you can give the tour to someone you would like to go in your place.
Date Change
Date changes can occur free of charge if they are made 3 business days prior to the tour. If you cannot attend on the original date booked and all other dates are sold out, or you are unable to make another available date, you may choose to swap the name on the booking. In all other circumstances a cancellation fee will be charged up to the full trip value.
Tour Type Change
You can request to change to another tour type by contacting us on tours@mapamystery.com. A minimum of 3 business days’ notice is required, otherwise a cancellation fee will be incurred fee will be charged up to the full trip value.
Please keep in mind that some changes may incur an added cost, for example, if a tour is changed on more than one occasion a fee may be incurred on each occasion and administration fees may occur, such as bank fees, booking fees or any other costs outside our control.
Map A Mystery will try to accommodate reasonable date change requests for tours where possible. Please understand that date changes are subject to availability and are at the discretion of Map A Mystery.
If a tour price has increased since the time of the original booking, then this price increase will be passed on at the time of any tour booking changes.
If you need to cancel, you may be fully refund at any time up until 3 business days before your tour date. Cancellations after this time will not be refunded due to service & supplier costs incurred.
Cancellation or change Tours
Map A Mystery reserve the right to cancel, alter, shorten, or change our tours as required at any given time. In the event that a tour is cancelled, the option to reschedule for another tour/time/date will be offered as will the option for a full refund of monies paid.
Map A Mystery will not be responsible if a tour could not be completed for whatever reason. It is at the discretion of Map A Mystery as to whether a refund is offered.
Change of itinerary
Choice of venues is at the discretion of Map A Mystery and is subject to availability. On occasions beyond our control, we may need to make a change to an itinerary when a business is closed, a special event occurs, or a venue or staff member is unavailable or for any other reason. If and when this happens, we will substitute for an equivalent experience.
Payment Terms & Fees
All fares are to be paid in full upon booking of tour.
Tours can be booked and paid online via Credit Card or PayPal or Apple Pay.
Gift Vouchers
Privacy
Purchase and use of our Gift Voucher is covered by our Privacy Policy. Please review the policy for further information.
Our Gift Vouchers can be used to purchase any Map A Mystery Tour. They are not valid for any other use.
Map A Mystery Gift Vouchers are available for purchase online at www.mapamystery.com, or by contacting us by email via tours@mapamystery.com, or through an approved partner. Gift Vouchers can be purchased in Australian Dollar (AUD). It is your responsibility to ensure you purchase in the correct currency and Map A Mystery is not liable for the exchange rate if you are purchasing the voucher from another country. It is your responsibility that all details on the Gift Voucher are correct before purchasing. Upon purchase, your Gift Voucher will be delivered to the email address you supplied on checkout. It is your responsibility to ensure this email address is correct and you (or the recipient) have access to it. Gift Voucher are not refundable. Map A Mystery may assist in correcting errors, but it cannot be guaranteed.
Gift Vouchers purchased expire three (3) years from the date of purchase.
Vouchers purchased for a monetary value can be used as payment for a Map A Mystery tour. Any unused portion will remain as rolling credit under the same gift voucher code until the amount has been exhausted or the date of expiry.
Vouchers that are purchased for a specific tour are valid for the monetary value of the tour at the time it was purchased (this value is stated on the voucher). Over the time of the voucher’s 3-year validity tour pricing may change, in which case the voucher holder may be required to pay a price difference at the time of booking. The value of a voucher may be transferred to an alternative tour or the amount paid. Any cost difference will need to be paid at the time of booking.
Vouchers cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash.
In the event of a tour no show or cancellation (outside of our terms and conditions) we reserve the right to void the voucher.
If a voucher is lost, replacement is at the discretion of Map A Mystery.
You may transfer your voucher to another person.
Please understand that over time tours and availability may change, Map A Mystery reserve the right to alter tours or remove tours. If for any reason a tour is no longer available, the value of the voucher will remain and can be used towards an alternative tour.
Redeeming a Gift Voucher
Map A Mystery Gift Vouchers can be redeemed online by adding the code to the relevant field on the checkout page, alternatively you can contact us via tours@mapamystery.com. The full amount or part thereof is redeemable. Where there is remaining credit on the Gift Voucher following a partial redemption, that value will remain on the Gift Voucher for future redemption until the expiration of the voucher.
Expiry Date
Our Gift Vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date and time of purchase. Please see your Gift Voucher for the expiry date. Once the value of the voucher has been exhausted or the expiry date has occurred, the voucher can no longer be used. It cannot be recharged.
Lost or Stolen Gift Vouchers
Your Gift Voucher should be treated like cash. It is your responsibility to keep it safe. If you lose or have your Gift Card stolen, please contact us and prove your purchase, or request the person who gifted you the Gift Card to us via email on tours@mapamystery.com
Alcohol Consumption
Under the Liquor Control Act 1988, it is an offence: to sell or supply liquor to a person under the age of 18 years on licensed or regulated premises; or for a person under the age of 18 years to purchase, or attempt to purchase, liquor on licensed or regulated premises. All attendees must be able to provide adequate photo identification for proof of age if requested.
On all tours, the operators of the businesses you visit are obligated to adhere to Responsible Service of Alcohol laws, and reserve the right to refuse service to patrons who show signs of intoxication.
Refusal to participate also applies to any tours of operational wineries, distilleries, farms etc where intoxication may become an occupational health and safety hazard.
By law, no alcohol is to be consumed on any vehicle.

By accessing these third-party websites you do so entirely at your own risk and Map A Mystery will not be held responsible for any damages or loss caused by or in connection with, use or reliance on any goods or services available on or through any third party website. Security
We take security seriously and endeavour to ensure your information remains protected. We aim to engage with reputable third parties however no method of transmission over the the internet, third party networks and the World Wide Web, or electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable. We cannot guarantee your information is absolutely secure as this may be beyond the control of Map A Mystery. You assume all risks and liability in using services beyond our control in such a regard.
Photos
You agree that Map A Mystery can use images of you captured whilst on tour for use on our website, social media or other marketing material should you post them in your review or send them via other means. If you do not want your image to be used please need to notify us in writing immediately.
Photos displayed on our website and social media are for illustrative purposes and may not depict the exact tour as each tour is unique and can change from time to time.
Customer acknowledgements
All customers acknowledge that:
- Any vehicle(s) used by you as the customer for the purposes of the tour is your own responsibility and is equipped with the safety requirements of the place where they are used. This includes but is not limited to:
- suitable seat belts in good working order;
- passengers must remain seated in moving vehicles;
- It is illegal for alcohol to be consumed within our vehicles;
- b) it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that food and beverages consumed by the customer are suitable for their consumption.
Liability
Reasonable care must be taken by all participants throughout the duration of all tours and activities and to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Map A Mystery accepts no responsibility or liability for damage, loss or injury in tort, contract or equity.
- Map A Mystery are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third parties.
- You release Map A Mystery and its officers, employees, agents and representatives from any liability and expressly waive any claims you may have against Up Map A Mystery arising out of or in connection with your participation in a tour.
Any condition or warranty which would otherwise be implied by law into these Booking Conditions (Implied Warranty) is excluded.
